Privacy PolicySTATEMENT
Acting on Impulse is committed to respecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal data entrusted to us is collected and processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that came into force in May 2018. These regulations are intended to strengthen your rights and to give you control over the personal information that organisations hold about you.
1. WHAT WE DO WITH YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
1.1. Supporters
Most personal data we hold is given to us directly via our website, email list subscription or fundraising activities. We may also receive personal information when you donate to us through third party services such as Stewardship or PayPal. We will only use this personal information for legitimate purposes.
If you subscribe to our emailing list we will only use your contact details to get in touch with you about news, updates, or events. All information is securely held within the Acting on Impulse office and can only be accessed by authorised personnel. We only require basic contact information from supporters to allow us to manage this communication.
If you give financial support we will only retain information necessary to process payments and claim Gift Aid.
1.2. Participants in workshops/films/Outreach projects
We obtain your contact information in our workshops/films/outreach projects in order to get in touch with you about our activities, and to be able to give you any necessary support. We keep records of attendance for health & safety, planning, award-making and statistical purposes. There are no files kept on individuals. Your original registration form is kept for a period of 3 years after you leave the project. All information is securely held within the Acting on Impulse office and can only be accessed by authorised personnel.
1.3. Workers and volunteers
Contact information is held to enable us to communicate on matters affecting the activities of Acting on Impulse. Sufficient personal details of workers are held to enable recruitment, staff administration, remuneration, pensions, and performance management purposes. All information is securely held within the Acting on Impulse office and can only be accessed by authorised personnel.
2. CONSENT
You will be asked for consent when registering for the relevant activity that requires us to retain personal information.
2.1. How do you obtain my consent?
When you provide us with personal information, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, we are obliged to let you know the purpose of the request before you give your consent.
2.2. How do I withdraw my consent?
If after you opt-in you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you or for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at any time, by contacting us at actingonimpulsemail@gmail.com or writing to Acting on Impulse, 8 Dobbinetts Lane, Manchester M23 9NB. If you wish to unsubscribe from our email communications there will be an unsubscribe button at the bottom of each email.
Artist release forms cannot be withdrawn.
2.3. What is an artist release form?
As with all actors, you will be photographed and recorded (i.e. your image and voice will be captured) (a) during workshops and (b) during filming. In both instances you will be asked to sign an artist release form, consenting to Acting on Impulse capturing and using your image for legitimate purposes. The form will include personal information. The artist release forms for filming are legal documents, and therefore cannot be withdrawn. They will be kept securely and the information on them released only for legitimate purposes (e.g. to the film Producer).
Additional biographical details are usually given for the film Premiere programme. By giving this information verbally, consent to use it is assumed.
2.4. What if I do not wish to consent to the release of my image, when I join a workshop?
We will respect your decision and avoid releasing any individual or group images in which you have been captured. However, only those who have signed the pre-film artist release form can take part in our films.
3. DISCLOSURE
We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so.
4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
We will never disclose any of your information to third-parties for marketing or other commercial purposes.
